New to this...

Hi, my name is Dinkey.  It's a nickname actually, but I usually prefer it to my real name.  I've been called Dinkey since I was born.  Anyway I have never written a blog before but thought I might start since I've been starting to do a lot of quilting.  Figured I could keep track of it here maybe.

I started my first quilt back in 2010 but didn't really finish it until Nov. 2011.  I had the top all done and ready but never got around to getting the batting and backing and doing the quilting and binding. Just wasn't confident enough I guess until someone finally asked if I had ever finished the quilt.

So I got to looking around the Internet a little more about how to finish off a quilt and by mid November it was done. I saw several mistakes that I had made (of course) some of the squares didn't line up. But it was done and it didn't look too bad.

I actually had someone comment that the pattern I used was really difficult. I had actually thought it was rather easy. But then again I've drawn pretty much all of my life and most patterns I see online all I really see, other than they are all pretty, is the lines. This line connects to that line and so on. Well, I'd better get off here for now. Got some things need doing around the house.
